Do you find yourself distracted when trying to focus?

Or just unable to stay on task and get things done?

This list of apps will help you focus and be much more productive from day today.

While new technologies allow us to perform several tasks simultaneously and optimize our work, they can also be sources of distraction at work.

It's not always easy to stay focused on your work between social networks, video platforms, and online games.

I am all about tools and systems that aid in being productive and staying on task. Whether you are faced with distractions or deal with a disorder, such as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), these apps will help you find and keep your focus.

Here’s a list of several applications that can help you stay focused and gain productivity by blocking distractions, or helping you find and stay in your zone, or a combination of both.

10 Apps That Will Keep You Focused

Noisli

Noisli plays relaxing sounds to keep ambient noise away and help you focus on your work.

From the site, click on the wind, rain, sea, or even fire icon. You can also adjust each sound's volume and create combinations, such as mixing rain and wind.

The sound helps you focus on and tune into your task. At any time, a single click on the “mute” icon allows you to take a break.

Forest app

Can't work without stopping every two minutes from looking at your smartphone? Open the free Forest app, and you will see the seed of a tree appear.

For any length of time you choose, this seed can become a tree from one to thirty minutes. But be careful: if you quit the app to go to Facebook or to reply to a text message, your tree will die.

Forest is available on iOS and Android.

SPACE

This app emphasizes personalization. By signing up, you can set a maximum time that you want (or have to) spend on your smartphone per day, from 5 minutes to 4 hours.

Moment

Like SPACE, the strong point of this application is personalization.

Moment offers you several goals when you open it, such as sleeping better, being more focused, etc.

From there, the app also offers “lessons” that teach you how to use your smartphone less.

Digital Well-being

On Android devices, the Digital Wellbeing application allows you to take stock of your use, detailing the number of hours and minutes spent on your smartphone per day.

It also helps you identify which apps you use the most. You can also set the amount of time you want to spend per day and per application, which will notify you when you exceed that limit.

RescueTime

Rescue Time is not primarily a distraction blocker, but it is one of the best time tracking apps out there.

However, it includes a distraction intercept feature called FocusTime that allows you to prevent distractions from using your time-tracking history.

StudyBlue

StudyBlue (Android, iOS) built an application that allows users to maximize their study time by studying while their phone is in place.

The StudyBlue application allows users to create their own memory cards.

SelfControl

Do you use your computer to study and find it hard to avoid Facebook or YouTube?

The SelfControl application blocks your access to all the sites you want for a selected time. Download it, choose the sites to block with Edit Blocklist, and set the blocking duration from one minute to one hour.

SelfControl is free and accessible on all browsers.

Focus To-Do

Focus to-do provides a variety of tasks to help you focus better.

The main feature is a Pomodoro timer that allows you to work for up to 25 minutes. At the end of this period, take a five-minute break.

In this way, you can easily focus on a task in small doses and know that you need to take a break early so that each task is not too difficult.

Focus Booster

Focus Booster is a modest timer application with slight productivity.

It has a pleasant pallid color scheme, even though a dark mode is also accessible if that is your preference. Set how much time you need to work, and the application will begin a countdown. It will prompt you subsequently that your session is over.

The application will show a warning on your lock screen so that you can perceive at a glimpse how much time you have to work. Simple interface that will keep you free from distraction.

If you need help with productivity and staying on task, within this list of productivity apps there may be some help in store.
