Multicultural marketing is a marketing strategy that recognizes that there are differences in a culture and ethnicities of a target market.

To be inclusive in marketing you must willing to step outside of advertising norms and choose to highlight people or groups that are underrepresented or even misrepresented.

Authentic representation allows for your intended consumers to feel seen, heard, and understood.  Which allows them to believe in your brand and personally relate to your products.

If a brand doesn’t have a multicultural strategy, it doesn’t have a growth strategy.

According to a Forbes article looking at the influence of women of color, if  African Americans alone were a country, they would be the 15th largest economy in the world, with AA Women controlling the lion's share of it. This is a very important thing for consumer goods and media companies to get a handle on as this proves the need for more multicultural strategies.
